Jeff Schlanger,
President and CEO
A former state and federal prosecutor with more than 30 years investigative experience both in the public and private sectors. He has applied that experience to helping government agencies and major corporations perform investigations in order to reduce risk and combat fraud and abuse.

Mr. Schlanger has been instrumental in designing and developing KeyPoint’s current background screening infrastructure and its current assignments for the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and the Office of Personnel Management (OPM).
Prior to his current position, Mr. Schlanger was the Chief Operating Officer of Kroll’s Security Services Group where he managed the Company’s response to the exponential growth in business following the terror attacks of September 11, 2001. He is also directly responsible for the design, implementation, and on-going operation of the federal Monitorships of both the Los Angeles and Detroit Police Departments.
Mr. Schlanger began his career at Kroll when the private investigation and security firm which he founded and owned was purchased by Kroll, Inc. in 1998. Prior to this, Mr. Schlanger was an Assistant District Attorney in the Manhattan District Attorney's Office for 12 years where he served as both Senior Investigative Counsel and Senior Trial Counsel to District Attorney Robert M. Morgenthau.
All of these positions have contributed to Mr. Schlanger’s keen understanding of issues related to national security and the role that background investigations need to play in a comprehensive national security approach. Mr. Schlanger is a recognized expert in trial techniques, investigative techniques and security issues and has frequently commented on those matters in various media including The New York Times, CNBC, and Court TV.

Mr. Schlanger was admitted to practice law in the First Department, State of New York in 1979 and subsequently in the United States District Courts of the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. He has also been accredited as a Certified Protection Professional (CPP). Mr. Schlanger has a Top Secret security clearance.

Michael Chertoff,

His knowledge and counsel will be invaluable to KeyPoint's growing business with the U.S. federal, state and local governments.

Mr. Chertoff served as the second Secretary of Homeland Security from 2005 to early 2009. Before heading up the Department of Homeland Security, Mr. Chertoff served as a federal judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Earlier, during more than a decade as a federal prosecutor, he investigated and prosecuted cases of political corruption, organized crime, corporate fraud and terrorism -- including the investigation of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
After leaving government service Mr. Chertoff co-founded The Chertoff Group, a risk management and security consulting company where he serves as the Managing Partner. Mr. Chertoff also serves as Senior of Counsel at the Washington, D.C. law firm of Covington & Burling.
Mr. Chertoff is a magna cum laude graduate of Harvard College (1975) and Harvard Law School (1978). From 1979-1980 he served as a clerk to Supreme Court Justice William Brennan.
