Loveland, CO., Jan 15, 2012 – KeyPoint Government Solutions has named Adam Lurie as Managing Director in its KeyPoint Clearance and Inspection Services Business Unit. He will report to the President of the Clearance and Inspection Services Business Unit, Damon Hudson.

Mr. Lurie joins KeyPoint from USIS, where he served for almost 10 years in their Investigative Services Division. Most recently, as a Program Director, Mr. Lurie ran USIS' intelligence community programs within the investigative division. His problem solving techniques led to the adoption of multiple innovative strategies that his U.S. government clients were able to implement. Mr. Lurie oversaw the consistent addition of technological improvements into the security clearance process, helping to increase the timeliness of federal background investigations. Prior to this position, Adam held numerous jobs in investigative field management, including oversight of a regional geography encompassing 500+ investigators. In 2007, Adam received the CEO Award for outstanding achievement, handed out to the company's top leaders.

Loveland, CO., Jan 5, 2012 – KeyPoint Government Solutions has named Damon Hudson President of the KeyPoint Clearance and Inspection Services Business Unit. Mr. Hudson will be responsible for day to day operations of the unit and will report directly to the CEO, Jeff Schlanger.
Mr. Hudson joins KeyPoint from USIS where he served as the Vice President of Investigative Programs, managing a diverse portfolio of clients within the intelligence community, healthcare and homeland security sectors. “I am looking forward to working with Jeff and the team and building upon KeyPoint’s success in the National Security Industry. KeyPoint’s market position is well suited for substantial growth and I am thrilled to be part of it.”
In addition to extensive operational management experience, Mr. Hudson brings strong business development skills to his new KeyPoint position. He has led investigative business development and developed marketing strategy resulting in the capture of multiple contracts for anti-fraud services, federal investigative services and international investigations. In the past five years Mr. Hudson led successful capture efforts for more than 25 contracts that were cumulatively valued at more than $300M and supported agencies ranging from the Department of Justice to the Department of Homeland Security. Damon has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from George Mason University.

Loveland, CO – KeyPoint Government Solutions, Inc. (KeyPoint) announced today that it has been awarded a contract by the United States Office of Personnel Management (OPM) to continue conducting security clearance background investigations on current and prospective federal employees, military personnel and contractors. KeyPoint has been performing background investigations for OPM since 2004, when it was retained by the agency as part of its plan to expand capacity for the field-work component of investigations.
This ID/IQ contract award, which was awarded to three companies, is follow-on to KeyPoint’s existing contract with OPM. If all options are exercised the contract will have a five year period-of-performance beginning 1 December 2011. The total ID/IQ value for all awardees is over $2.5B.

Six Industry Leaders Join KeyPoint Advisory Board
Loveland, Colo. – KeyPoint Government Solutions, Inc. (KeyPoint) today added six key leaders to its Advisory Board of industry and market subject matter experts. The new board members will serve as strategic advisors on growth endeavors across KeyPoint’s core and emerging lines of business. Joining the KeyPoint Advisory Board are Henry DeGeneste, Dean Esserman, Tom Frazier, Jerome Hauer, Kathleen Kiernan and Kathleen O’Toole.
Henry DeGeneste is a managing partner with Security Directors Advisory Group (SDAG). He has more than 35 years’ experience in security and law enforcement leadership roles, including 15 years as vice president of Global Security at Prudential Financial and 23 years with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, where he served as the director of public safety and superintendent of police. DeGeneste was an adjunct professor at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice and continues to lecture at major colleges and universities as an expert on crisis and emergency management. He has acted as a consultant to Scotland Yard, Interpol, and the Federal Emergency Management Agency. DeGeneste holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Adelphi University and is a David Rockefeller Fellow.
Col. Dean Esserman is the police chief of the Providence Police Department and is nationally renowned for his innovative and community-oriented approaches to law enforcement practices and policies. He has developed and implemented programs that have helped to reduce crime significantly in all jurisdictions where he has served. He served as an assistant district attorney in Kings County, NY, and was general counsel to the New York City Transit Police before transitioning into police work, serving as chief of police in several jurisdictions in Connecticut and New York prior to his current post in Providence, R.I. Col. Esserman is a graduate of Dartmouth College and New York University School of Law. He is a member of the New York and Massachusetts Bars and holds a faculty appointment at the Yale University Child Study Center.
Tom Frazier is the president of Frazier Group LLC, a consortium of America’s leading law enforcement and homeland security leaders. Before founding this company in 2001, he was the director of the Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) Office in the U.S. Department of Justice, Police Commissioner of the Baltimore Police Department, served 28 years with the San Jose Police Department. For 10 years, ending July 2010, Frazier was the executive director of the Major Cities Police Chiefs Association, representing the chiefs of the 70 largest police agencies in the United States and Canada. He was a decorated military intelligence officer in Vietnam and he holds a master’s degree in Criminal Justice Administration from San Jose State University.
Jerome Hauer is the chief executive officer of The Hauer Group, a consulting services company. He is an innovator in emergency management and medical/public health planning and response to emergencies, disasters and terrorism. Hauer served as the acting assistant secretary for the Office of Public Health Emergency Preparedness for the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). In addition, he was the first director of the Mayor’s Office of Emergency Management (OEM) for the City of New York. He began his career in scientific research and instruction at the collegiate levels and has served in many emergency management and disaster leadership roles for public health and safety agencies. He has a master’s degree from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health and a bachelor’s degree from New York University.
Kathleen Kiernan is a 29-year veteran of federal law enforcement and is the CEO of Kiernan Group Holdings, an international consulting firm that supports federal and civil clients. She previously served as the assistant director for the Office of Strategic Intelligence and Information for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and has been part of the intelligence community for more than 10 years. She has served as the ATF representative to the Counterterrorism Center (CTC) at CIA for three years. She chairs and is a member of a variety of intelligence and law enforcement councils, commissions and panels. Kiernan is a special advisor to the Director of the Combating Terrorism Task Force in the Department of Defense. Kiernan has a doctorate in education from Northern Illinois University and a Master of Science degree in Strategic Intelligence from the Joint Military Intelligence College in Washington, D.C. She also holds a Master of Arts degree in International Transactions from George Mason University.
Kathleen O’Toole is the chief inspector of the Garda Síochána Inspectorate, the Republic of Ireland’s national police force. She audits operational, investigative, managerial and policing strategies in an effort to identify and implement international best practices. She has served in field, investigative and administrative roles in Massachusetts police departments since 1979, when she was first appointed to the Boston Police Department. O’Toole has served as chief of the Metropolitan District Commission Police, lieutenant colonel in the Massachusetts State Police, Massachusetts secretary of public safety and Boston police commissioner. She is a graduate of Boston College and the New England School of Law. She is a member of the Massachusetts Bar.

David Kervin to Lead Strategic Business Operations

In this role he will act as an advisor to the senior management team and oversee acquisitions, business development and capture, business process improvement and special projects.

In addition, Mr. Kervin is an honorably discharged veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, having served 12 years in a variety of infantry, counterintelligence and joint billets with various commands, task forces and agencies.

KeyPoint names Austin based leader for Security Services Group
KeyPoint Government Solutions, Inc., a leading provider of background investigations and investigative, monitoring and fraud prevention services, today announced Brian Dusza is joining the company as managing director of the Security Services Group, which handles security inspections and audits. He will be based in Austin, Texas.

KeyPoint Appoints Michael Chertoff to Serve on Board of Directors
LOVELAND, Colo. - KeyPoint Government Solutions, Inc., a leading provider of security-clearance background investigations and investigative, monitoring and fraud prevention services to U.S. government agencies, today announced the appointment of Secretary Michael Chertoff to its Board of Directors.

Mr. Chertoff served as the second Secretary of Homeland Security from 2005 to early 2009. Before heading up the Department of Homeland Security, Mr. Chertoff served as a federal judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Earlier, during more than a decade as a federal prosecutor, he investigated and prosecuted cases of political corruption, organized crime, corporate fraud and terrorism -- including the investigation of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
After leaving government service Mr. Chertoff co-founded The Chertoff Group, a risk management and security consulting company where he serves as the Managing Partner. Mr. Chertoff also serves as Senior of Counsel at the Washington, D.C. law firm of Covington & Burling.
Mr. Chertoff is a magna cum laude graduate of Harvard College (1975) and Harvard Law School (1978). From 1979-1980 he served as a clerk to Supreme Court Justice William Brennan.

KeyPoint Appoints Martin Horn to Head Correctional Services Group
LOVELAND, Colo., – KeyPoint Government Solutions, Inc., (formerly Kroll Government Services, Inc.) a leading provider of security-clearance background investigations and investigative, monitoring and fraud prevention services to U.S. government agencies, today announced the hiring of Martin Horn to head the company’s Correctional Services Group. Mr. Horn retired on July 31st as Commissioner of Corrections and Probation for the City of New York.

KeyPoint’s Correctional Services Group will provide consulting services to federal, state and local corrections agencies. These services will include independent third-party audits and consulting on all aspects of correctional operations including: performance management, risk management, litigation support, internal affairs, labor relations, training, and court-mandated compliance monitoring.

Horn joined New York City government as Commissioner of Probation in January of 2002 at the start of Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s first term. In 2003, Horn was asked by the Mayor to serve as Correction Commissioner as well, and became the longest-tenured City Correction Commissioner appointed in the past 50 years. Horn started his career as a parole officer and worked his way up to Secretary of the Pennsylvania state prison system before coming to New York City.
With respect to his work in the New York City, he is widely credited with making the City’s jails the safest large city jails in the nation and drastically reducing crime within the jail system. He is recognized nationally as one of the strongest advocates of prison reform, and a champion for humane conditions and respectful treatment of inmates. During his tenure he worked tirelessly to create an innovative jail-based reentry program, which has been hailed as a national model being replicated throughout the country. As Probation Commissioner, Horn drastically reduced violent recidivism in the in the City through aggressive management and the use of information systems allowing probation officers to work more efficiently and effectively.
In addition to his work at KeyPoint, Mr. Horn is a Distinguished Lecturer at John Jay College, City University of New York, imparting his wisdom and expertise to our future criminal justice system professionals.
Horn earned a bachelor's degree in government from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in 1969, and a master's degree in criminal justice from John Jay College, in 1974. Horn co-chairs the American Bar Association Corrections Committee, has served as a member of the Board of Governors of the American Correctional Association and is the 2005 recipient of the Michael Francke award from the Association of State Correctional Administrators.

Former division of Kroll renamed KeyPoint Government Solutions, Inc.
NEW YORK - Veritas Capital, a leading private equity firm with a focus on companies that provide services and products to the government market, today announced the acquisition of Kroll Government Services, Inc. from Kroll, Inc., a subsidiary of Marsh & McLennan (NYSE: MMC). In conjunction with the transaction, Kroll Government Services, Inc. has been renamed KeyPoint Government Solutions, Inc. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
KeyPoint is a leading provider of security-clearance background investigations and employment screening services to U.S. government agencies, also providing related investigative, monitoring and fraud prevention services helping such agencies ensure the integrity of these processes. KeyPoint's highly qualified and experienced employees serve U.S., state and local government customers including the Office of Personnel Management, the Department of Homeland Security, the Transportation Security Administration, Customs and Border Protection, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Citizenship and Immigration Services, the Department of Justice, the US Coast Guard, the Army National Guard and the Los Angeles Police Department, among others.
